Young boxer in national final
IT'S the biggest night of the year in Irish boxing, the pinnacle of the amateur game, and Monivea BC's Adam Hession will, along with three more Galway fighters, contest National Senior Elite Championship finals on Saturday.
Hession, Olympic Boxing Club's Gabriel Dossen, Kieran Molloy of Oughterard Boxing Club and Thomas O'Toole from Celtic Eagles will all challenge for titles at Dublin’s National Stadium after their winning semi-final bouts last weekend.
A native of Bullaun on the Corofin-Turloughmore border, Hession has been turning heads in the flyweight division (52kg limit) in recent months.
