Corofin enter the unknown against Gaoth Dobhair
ALL the way back in 1968, a Dunmore MacHales side filled with household names met a star-studded St Joseph's amalgamation from Bundoran and Ballyshannon and played out a famous, two-legged All-Ireland senior club final.
The club championships carried unofficial status in those days, meaning Saturday will witness Galway and Donegal representatives crossing paths for the very first time in official competition as Corofin and Gaoth Dobhair clash at Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada in Carrick-on-Shannon (throw-in: 1.30pm).
