Waiting for a lifeline: Sadhbh says it’s time to ‘have the chat’
FOUR-year-old Sadhbh Browne is asking Santa for a skipping rope this year. And hopefully, as she’s been such a very good girl there might be an added surprise some time in the New Year of the gift she and her parents are wishing for – a liver transplant.
The bubbly young girl who lives in Mountbellew has been on the transplant waiting list since July. Screening of relatives failed to identify a living donor and so the family must wait for a possible deceased donor.
This Christmas Sadhbh and her parents Deirdre and Patrick are part of a campaign that is asking people to talk about organ donation over the festive season.
