Egan and Lane take on the world in Masters Championships

TWO Tuam athletes will compete in the World Masters Athletics Championships in Malaga this week, an event that will see over 8,000 competitors from across the globe, 176 of which come from Ireland, descend on the south of Spain.
Despite being diagnosed with Encephalitis, a disease which causes swelling of the brain and being told he would never walk or talk again as a result, miracle man Justin Lane (45) will take part in the 110-metres hurdles, High Jump, Long Jump, Pole Vault and Weight for Distance events in the games.
