Corofin finish with a flourish

THE expected outcome eventually materialised, but it took a concentrated spell of late scoring by Corofin to finally see off a committed An Cheathrú Rua in Saturday evening's Senior Football Championship Group 1 contest in Clonbur.

The defending champions were four points up at the break and indeed 20 minutes into the second half were just six to the good, before a devastating closing spell that saw them score 4-4 to close out the game in impressive fashion.
