Who can end Corofin's reign?
IF THIS summer heralds a changing landscape in the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, the same applies at local level where a new group format swings into action in the Claregalway Hotel and Bon Secours Hospital-sponsored Galway Senior Football Championship.
Twenty participating clubs have been split into four groups of five with last year's semi-finalists Corofin, Mountbellew-Moylough, Annaghdown and Monivea-Abbey all seeded and kept apart.
It all gets underway this weekend. Pearse Stadium remains off limits due to the aftermath of Ed Sheeran concerts and matches are spread across seven different venues around the county with Barnaderg, Clonbur, Moycullen, Spiddal, Corofin, Athenry and Tuam Stadium all hosting double-headers.
