NORTH Galway’s creative strengths are often best known in the local musical or literary scene, yet a growing cohort of film-makers from this neck of the woods are making a name for themselves on the national and international scene.
Four men in particular are accruing awards and accolades for their work in recent years, and showcasing their talents around the world.
James Ryan is a graduate of DIT’s Media Studies programme but it’s his work on a film depicting the curse on Mayo’s All-Ireland footballers that has brought him into the spotlight in recent years.
