Minister turns sod on Athenry’s long awaited new school

A €20 million school in Athenry that has taken six years to get off the ground had its official sod turning ceremony last week, with Education Minister Richard Bruton doing the honours.

Presentation College will relocate to the new 1,000 student school at Raheen next March, and work on the state of the art campus is well underway.
