Caltra author launches sequel to acclaimed young adult debut

CALTRA’S teenage literary sensation Eilís Barrett is celebrating the launch of her second novel, less than 18 months after her debut novel took the publishing world by storm.

Eilis, 18, will launch Genesis, the sequel to her debut young adult novel Oasis tomorrow (Thursday) at Charlie Byrne’s Bookshop in Galway.
Genesis is the second of a two-book deal the teenager signed with Gill Books when she was only 15. It picks up the story of heroine Quincy Emmerson, who has been captured, brutalised and returned once more to captivity, this time as a serious security risk.
