Local trad stars to perform in front of 25,000 concert goers in France
THE musical talents of Dunmore will make their way to France next month.
A trad music group featuring some well-known musicians from the area have secured a place on the line-up for a major concert in Brittany.
The Piper Strings will perform in front of an estimated crowd of 25,000 people at the Tomahawk concert. It takes place in Querrien which is the town twinned with Dunmore. The three-day event which begins on Friday, September 8 is in its fifth year and has grown in popularity each year.
The Piper Strings are known locally as The Howleys but the group uses the name The Piper Strings when they take to the stage abroad.
