GALWAY'S captain David Burke made his championship debut on the only occasion his county have come up against Wexford since entering the Leinster Senior Championship some eight years ago.
Burke marked his first senior start by scoring a point in what was a 2010 provincial quarter-final. The St Thomas' man is one of Galway's most experienced players now, and in his eighth season playing inter-county hurling, he reckons the squad in its' present guise going into Sunday's Leinster decider is the strongest he's been a part of.
