Athenry food festival will have more ooh la la this year

AN estimated 15,000 people are expected to attend the Bia Lover food festival in Athenry in a few weeks' time which will celebrate and showcase local and Irish food producers.

The festival will have a strong French connection this year with a number of wine producers from the Loire Valley featuring over the two-day event.

Plans for the development of three vegetable gardens focusing on different centuries will also be launched during the festival.
The Bia Lover festival takes place from June 16-18.
