Tuam Trad Fest will make a comeback in September
TUAM Trad Fest, which was lost to the town last year, will be returning this autumn.
The event was first held in Tuam in 2009 and had grown each year since then. However, last year founder and organiser of Tuam Trad Fest Ann Coen stepped down. It was hoped that the traditional music festival which had brought hundreds of musicians, singers and dancers to North Galway would be organised by a new committee but this failed to materialise.
Ann says she has been inundated over the past year with requests from members of the public, teachers and musicians to organise the festival again and has confirmed to The Tuam Herald that Tuam Trad Fest will be return this September.
