Pres Tuam fall to Limerick firepower
PRESENTATION Currylea’s bid to add an All-Ireland senior title to their already impressive haul of silverware came unstuck against a clinical and goal-hungry John the Baptist Community School from Hospital last week.
As the 13-point margin suggests, the Limerick girls were worthy winners and a fair portion of the groundwork was laid in a devastating opening 11 minutes when they bagged four goals and gained a position of strength that was never conceded.
It was ruthless efficiency from the Munster champions as Caitlin Kennedy (two), Grainne Ryan and Eimear Kirby all found the net in an early blitz that left Pres Tuam with far too much ground to make up.
