WATCH: Eurovision song selected for Tuam's Brendan Murray

THE song that will be performed by Tuam's Brendan Murray as Ireland's Eurovision entry in May has been released.

Brendan, a former student of St Jarlath's College in Tuam, was chosen by Louis Walsh and RTE to represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv (Kiev) in May.

The 20-year-old rose to fame as part of the Irish boyband Hometown and performed in his own hometown during the Sugar Beat music festival in 2015.

Brendan is thrilled to be representing his country in the Eurovision and is looking forward to it. He will have to qualify from the semi-final on Thursday, May 11.
