Mannion brothers sparkle as Ahascragh-Fohenagh advance
AHASCRAGH-FOHENAGH’S adventure continues.
On Sunday afternoon in Tullamore, they confounded all the odds to deliver a performance that married substance with plenty of style and left Munster and Waterford champions Lismore a well-beaten and demoralised side by the time Westmeath referee Mick Murtagh called for the sliotar.
Their reward is an All-Ireland final against Kilkenny champions Carrickshock under Croke Park’s floodlights on Saturday, February 18.
Seven points separated the sides at O’Connor Park and Ahascragh-Fohenagh for value for every bit of that winning margin.
