Garda reservists have plummeted in Galway
THERE has been a dramatic reduction in the number of Garda reservists in Co Galway in the past two years.
While there are plans to recruit an additional 300 new reserves, the numbers in stations across Co Galway have dropped from 70 in 2014 to just 36 towards the end of last year.
Roscommon-Galway Deputy Eugene Murphy is alarmed by the figures for Galway which have nearly halved in just two years.
