Tribesmen footballers set to go 'wild'

THE GALWAY senior football squad will be going 'wild’ on Saturday, December 17, when they cycle 2,750 kilometres, the equivalent distance of the Wild Atlantic Way, to raise funds that will be distributed between Multiple Sclerosis Ireland and the Galway Tribesmen Supporters Club.
Instead of taking on the iconic route in the depths of winter the journey will be completed at 25 different locations throughout the county where players will jump on static spinning bikes to try and reach a target per cyclist.
Venues will include Supermac’s at The Galway Plaza in Kiltullagh, Eyre Square and Headford Road as well as Joyce’s Supermarkets, Elvery’s, An Púcan Bar, the Eyre Square Shopping Centre, the Corrib Shopping Centre and Taaffe’s Bar on Shop Street in Galway. The event will be broadcast on radio with regular updates from the venues to see if the target of 2,750 km will be hit.
The services MS Ireland offer include physiotherapy, professional counselling, general support, advice and guidance for people with Multiple Sclerosis, their families and friends. They are the only charity locally and nationally in the Republic of Ireland to offer these kinds of support to people. Like many charities, the demand for services is increasing on a month-by-month basis so the funds raised through this partnership will be very much welcome.

All monies raised for Galway GAA will go directly to the Galway Tribesmen Supporters Club, who in turn aid the preparations of the Galway senior squads for the coming season.
