Missing Cork woman sighted in Tuam
A WOMAN missing from the Cork area has been seen in Tuam and her family are asking for the public's help in locating her.
Gardai are seeking assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 45 year old Mandy Bermingham who was last seen on Saturday (October 29) at Cork University Hospital.
Mandy's family have recently positively identified Mandy in CCTV footage from an ATM machine in Tuam. The missing woman withdrew cash from the Tuam ATM yesterday (Tuesday). Her family are hoping that she is still in the North Galway area and are asking for people's help in locating her.
Mandy is 5' 2” in height with black hair and blue eyes. When at the ATM she was wearing a grey beanie hat, denim dress with dark tights and a grey cardigan.
Mandy's sister told The Tuam Herald that they were delighted to see Mandy on the CCTV footage but are very anxious to locate her and have her home. It is possible that she was in some of Tuam's boutiques.
Her family also feel that Mandy might be trying to make her way to Knock and are appealing for the public to be vigilant and report any possible sightings of her to their local garda station.
Mandy's sister says she has never been missing before and she and all of Mandy's family are concerned for her welfare.
Anyone who has seen Mandy or who can assist in locating her is asked to contact Togher Garda Station on 021 - 4947120, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
