Sylane capture Minor C title

KEELAN Creaven’s first half goal plus an excellent Jake Hogan penalty save proved the difference on Sunday as Sylane defeated Mountbellew-Moylough to capture the County Minor C Hurling Championship title.
A tough, physical contest saw both sides struggle with the strong wind on an otherwise sunny day in Carnmore, but Sylane’s 13th minute major gave John Higgins’ team an advantage they would never relinquish even if Mountbellew-Moylough stayed in contention right up until the final whistle.
