Kilkerrin-Clonberne and Carnacon to renew rivalries
BALLYHAUNIS GAA GROUNDS will be the venue on Sunday for the latest instalment in what’s turned into a compelling rivalry between Kilkerrin-Clonberne and Carnacon ladies footballers in the Connacht Senior Club Championship (throw-in: 3 pm).
For the fourth successive year the clubs will clash in the competition with the Galway champions currently leading the head-to-head record with two victories to Carnacon’s one.
The Mayo champions set extraordinary standards in Connacht and beyond, collecting 14 provincial and five All-Ireland titles, until Kilkerrin-Clonberne pipped them two years.
