U-21s face star-studded Déise in All-Ireland final
IF THE odds compilers are to believed then Saturday’s All-Ireland U-21 Hurling Championship decider between Galway and Waterford amounts to little more than a coronation.
The Déise have been installed as the shortest of short price favourites, 1/8 in most places, to take the title for only the second time in their history, with Galway rank outsiders at 5/1 and the match handicap line set at seven points.
It’s quite a scenario for manager Tony Ward and his Galway side to head into a game of such magnitude as overwhelming outsiders.
