One of Tuam's most historic pubs is sold to Abbey duo

ONE of Tuam’s oldest pubs, Quinn’s Rustic Vaults, has been sold, and new owners Michael Fahy and Alan Mulry say they are the first Abbeyknockmoy men to own a pub in the town.
The sale was conducted by Tuam auctioneer Paul O’Grady and it was bought from Conal Murphy, the fourth generation of his family to operate it. The first of his ancestors to have a bar at Vicar Street was Conal’s great-grandfather, Michael Walsh, who came to Tuam from Tourmakeady in 1884.
