Doherty's extra-time goal edges Tuam Stars past Cortoon

ALL the talk surrounding the amount of training Tuam Stars have been doing under Alan Flynn since the end of last year may have been the main factor that helped them sneak into the next round of the Senior Championship.
Conor Doherty was the hero, raiding forward to get on the end of a John Donnellan hand pass and score the decisive goal in the second half of extra-time. The goal allowed Tuam to then hold out for the remaining eight minutes.
