Two new names replace TDs on County Council

TWO new names will be added to Galway Co Council at the next monthly meeting as both new TDs for Galway East, Sean Canney, Independent and Anne Rabbitte have selected their replacements on the local authority.
Sean Canney’s replacement is a man who is well known as a community activist in Caherlistrane, Billy Connelly. He was in charge of Sean’s election campaign and comes from a faimily who have been involved in community affairs over the years.
Deputy Anne Rabbitte is remaining tight-lipped about who her replacement will be.
