Third quarter blitz decisive as St Joseph’s overpower Dunmore
St Joseph’s, Charlestown, have blazed a trail through this year’s Connacht Post Primary Senior D Football Championship and their dominance of the competition was underlined with an emphatic final win over Dunmore Community School last Wednesday.
Fourteen points separated the teams on the 3G surface at the Connacht GAA Centre, with the telling blows delivered shortly after half-time. Made up exclusively of Charlestown Sarsfields and Kilmovee Shamrocks players, the winners elevated their game to a different level and reeled off 2-2 without reply to put the outcome beyond doubt by the 35th minute.
