Flood relief pipeline is needed on Tuam bypass
COSTINGS for a new pipeline that would alleviate flooding along the new Tuam bypass are expected to be finalised within the next four weeks, according to officials within Galway County Council.
The development came at a meeting between officials and residents of the Gardenfield and Ardacong areas last week, who are concerned by the threat of rising flood water to their homes.
Cllr Donagh Killilea facilitated the visit by officials from the council’s flooding section, who visited both areas to witness first-hand the water levels, which have been rising since mid-December.
