U-21 final the highlight after weekend wipe out
IT WAS a weekend when Storm Desmond claimed most of the local GAA fixture list and only a small handful of matches survived.
Pearse Stadium was due to host the interprovincial hurling semi-finals and final, while Connacht’s footballers were set to travel to Armagh to defend their interprovincial football title.
All of those matches fell foul to the adverse weather and the GAA’s Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) announced earlier this week that a decision will not be taken on a new date for the competitions until the body meets early next year.
