Mountbellewmoylough and corofin advance
THE BUSINESS end of the club season has well and truly arrived in Galway and this year’s Senior Football Championship final will be a repeat of the 2009 decider as All-Ireland champions Corofin go head-to-head with Mountbellew-Moylough after both ran out convincing winners at Tuam Stadium on Sunday.
Corofin maintained their unbeaten championship run in Galway under manager Stephen Rochford and earned a shot at a first-ever three in-a-row for the club following their comfortably one-sided victory against Cortoon Shamrocks in their first of the semi-final double-header.
Their opponents will be an up-and-coming Mountbellew-Moylough side aiming to bridge a 29-year gap since their last championship success.
