First day fun at new tuam school for the teachers and its pupils

IT was an exciting start to the school year for those attending their first day at Tuam’s Educate Together National School which opened its doors for the first time on Monday.
The Principal, Mayo native Nuala Bourke, welcomed her first arrivals of Junior Infants to the school which is contained in a renovated section of the former St Patrick’s Secondary School on Dublin Road.
Initially the revamped school will provide four classrooms, toilets, a staff room and administrative offices.
