Mountbellewmoylough defeat corofin to win leo kenny cup

THE Connacht GAA Senior Club Competition has the Leo Kenny Cup as the prize for its winners and involves teams from all five of the province’s counties.
Galway clubs Mountbellew-Moylough and Corofin, who reached this year’s final, certainly did it justice last Wednesday evening at Tuam Stadium with a feast of fast, open, entertaining football.
A fair sized crowd turned up to watch and they were treated to a fine exhibition from two teams that will probably be competing at the business end of the Galway Senior Football Championship this year.  Both were short several regulars, especially Corofin, so both tested the depth of their squads and neither was found wanting.
