Galway outclassed by donegals second half show

Donegal 3-12
Galway  0-11

EVEN if Donegal were flattered by their ten-point win in Saturday’s All-Ireland SFC Round 4B qualifier, Galway could have few complaints with the outcome.
It was a weekend when most of the game’s heavy hitters flexed their muscles and continued their march into August and although Kevin Walsh’s side fought the good fight and appeared in with a shout of creating an upset, Donegal’s big-match experience and extra class, especially in attack, eventually shone through.
They march on in Rory Gallagher’s first year in charge and if they’re to win an All-Ireland from here, will need to go to through Mayo, Dublin and very likely Kerry. It looks a tall order. Maybe too tall. Still, they are in contention.
