Ray lynam nothing to prove any more

RAY Lynam, whose 32-track double CD The Essential Ray Lynam Collection is just released, says he is enjoying the music scene now more than when he was travelling Ireland playing dancehalls with a six-piece band.
“It’s a lot more enjoyable now as there’s nothing to prove any more and I’m more at ease with myself too,” he says with a laugh.
Once more, Ray and The Hillbillies will reunite for what should be a nostalgic tour this autumn.
However, it will be a tour tinged with sadness for Ray as his brother John, the bass player in The Hillbillies, passed away a few years ago.
