Galway minors recover to beat roscommon

A WEEK is certainly a long time in the world of Gaelic football.
Trounced by Mayo at the same venue just seven days earlier, Galway Minors upset the formbook to comfortably defeat Roscommon in an entertaining curtain-raiser to Saturday evening’s provincial U-21 final at Tuam Stadium.
Roscommon had narrowly beaten Mayo earlier in the competition but such are the vagaries of minor football, especially in the early season provincial league, no definitive conclusions should be drawn based on one match, least of all pre-exam time.
