Tuams hazard receives civic honour for uk suicide walk
A TUAM man has been honoured by Galway County Council for his exceptional work in promoting awareness of suicide both in Ireland and the UK at a special ceremony in the city this week.
Colm 'Hazard’ Farrell has completed three walks of Ireland and the UK in the past three years, to raise awareness of suicide and the supports that are available to those experiencing difficulties.
His most recent walk throughout the UK saw him cover 86 counties across Scotland, Wales and England, covering in excess of 4,800 miles over the course of 11 months.
