Corofin and mountbellewmoylough for the silverware on sunday
GALWAY club football has been on a 'high’ in recent weeks with exciting games and large crowds at the County Intermediate and Junior finals, so there will be a huge spotlight on Tuam Stadium next Sunday when Corofin play St Michael’s in the Senior Championship final at 4.00 o’clock — after the County Minor (A) final between Mountbellew-Moylough and Salthill-Knocknacarra at 2.00 o’clock.
History will be made when the Galway city club St Michael’s play in their first ever County SFC final.
This is a magnificent achievement: St Michael’s are a real “salt of the earth” club, everything that the GAA stands for in its highest ideals and values.
Down through the years since the club was founded in 1956, St Michael’s club officers, members and players have had a family and community mentality, and their teams in all age groups always wore the Blue and White jersey with pride and distinction.
