Labour candidate eliminated in Ballinasloe district
At the end of the fourth count in the Ballinasloe district Fianna Fail's Donal Burke has moved closer to reaching the quota. Labour's Johnny Walsh has been elimminated and these votes are now being distributed. There's keen interest in seeing where these votes will go with the main candidates likely to benefit being FG Michael Finnerty and FF Pat O'Sullivan. However, it will be a big ask for O'Sullivan to overtake Finnerty at this stage.
